The BRH250 features a higher interrupting rating of 22kAIC at 240V, whereas the standard BR250 is rated for 10kAIC. Both are 50A, 2-pole plug-on breakers designed for Eaton Type BR load centers.
Which load centers are compatible with the BRH250 circuit breaker?
The BRH250 is designed exclusively for use in Eaton Type BR load centers and compatible legacy Cutler-Hammer BR series panels. It uses a plug-on mounting style and requires two standard 1-inch panel spaces.
Can I use the Eaton BRH250 to replace an older Cutler-Hammer BRH250?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer, and the current Eaton BRH250 is the direct replacement for the legacy Cutler-Hammer BRH250. They share the same physical dimensions, plug-on mounting, and 22kAIC rating.
What wire sizes are accepted by the lugs on the BRH250?
The box lugs on the BRH250 accept 14 AWG to 4 AWG copper or aluminum wire. Always verify that your conductor sizing matches the 50A circuit requirements and local electrical codes.
Does the BRH250 provide GFCI or AFCI protection?
No. The BRH250 is a standard thermal-magnetic circuit breaker providing overload and short-circuit protection. It does not include Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) or Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) functions.
Can I install the BRH250 in an Eaton CH series panel?
No. The BRH250 is a Type BR breaker and is not physically compatible with Eaton CH series load centers. CH panels require CH series breakers, which have a different mounting mechanism and a 3/4-inch width per pole.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
