A drop-in replacement for older Federal Pacific installations, the NE113015 restores safe power distribution without requiring panel upgrades. This 1-pole, 15A molded case circuit breaker mounts into legacy NE and NBLP panelboards using a secure bolt-on connection. Rated for 14kAIC at 120VAC, it features non-interchangeable thermal-magnetic trip technology for dependable long-time and instantaneous overcurrent protection. HACR rated for commercial and industrial HVAC applications.
Which panelboards accept the Federal Pacific NE113015 circuit breaker?
This N-Frame breaker is specifically designed to fit legacy Federal Pacific NE and NBLP series commercial panelboards.
How is the NE113015 installed into the panel?
It features a bolt-on connection type, meaning it must be mechanically fastened directly to the panelboard busbar rather than pushed or snapped into place.
What wire gauge range is supported by the NE113015 lugs?
The terminal lugs accommodate wire sizes from 14 AWG up to 2 AWG. Ensure proper torque specifications are followed during installation.
Can this 1-pole breaker be used for 240V applications?
No. As a 1-pole breaker, the NE113015 provides 120V protection for a single phase. Applications requiring 240V protection will need a 2-pole breaker from the NE series.
Can the NE113015 be used in DC electrical systems?
Yes, this breaker is dual-rated. Alongside its standard 120VAC rating at 14kAIC, it is also rated for 125VDC applications with a 10kAIC interrupting capacity.
What kind of protection does the LI trip function provide?
The thermal-magnetic LI (Long-Time, Instantaneous) trip unit provides dual protection. The thermal element responds to prolonged overloads, while the magnetic element trips instantly during severe short circuits.
Are original Federal Pacific NE113015 breakers still being manufactured?
Federal Pacific Electric is no longer in business. Facilities maintaining legacy NE or NBLP panelboards must rely on verified original stock or specific aftermarket replacements engineered for this bolt-on footprint.
Is the NE113015 part of the Federal Pacific Stab-Lok series known for safety issues?
No. The NE113015 is a commercial bolt-on N-Frame breaker. It utilizes a completely different design from the residential Stab-Lok plug-on breakers that are widely flagged by inspectors and insurance companies for safety concerns.
