4 answersCan the NE114070 be installed in a residential Federal Pacific Stab-Lok load center?
No. The NE114070 is an NE frame commercial molded case circuit breaker with a bolt-on mounting style. It is not compatible with residential Stab-Lok load centers, which require plug-on Stab-Lok breakers. It is designed exclusively for Federal Pacific NE panelboards.
Can the NE114070 be used in DC control circuits?
Yes. While primarily used in 120V AC systems with a 14kAIC rating, the NE114070 is also rated for 125V DC applications with a 5kA interrupting capacity. This allows it to be utilized in legacy DC control panels and battery systems that require a 70-amp, 1-pole breaker.
Are the thermal and magnetic trip functions on the NE114070 adjustable?
No. The NE114070 utilizes a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. Both the long-time (thermal) and instantaneous (magnetic) trip functions are factory-set and cannot be adjusted by the installer.
Are new Federal Pacific NE114070 breakers still being manufactured?
Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) is a legacy brand, and original NE frame breakers are no longer in active production. Sourcing a replacement requires finding existing legacy stock of the NE114070, as modern aftermarket manufacturers do not typically produce direct bolt-on replacements for the commercial NE panelboard line.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
