Can I install the TEYL3045B in a standard GE Q-Line residential load center?
No. Although classified within the broader Q-Line family, this is a commercial-grade bolt-on breaker intended for A-Series lighting and distribution panels. It lacks the plug-on clips required for residential load centers.
What does the L represent in the TEYL3045B part number?
The L designates this breaker as part of the high-interrupting tier within the GE TEY frame family. It achieves a 65kA interrupting rating at 480/277V AC, offering significantly higher fault current protection than the standard TEY and TEYF versions.
Can this breaker be applied in DC power systems?

Can a standard TEY3045 substitute for the TEYL3045B?
Both breakers share identical physical dimensions and mount in GE A-Series panelboards. However, the standard TEY3045 has a much lower interrupting rating. A substitution is only code-compliant if the available fault current at your panel falls within the lower rating of the standard TEY breaker.
Does this breaker offer GFCI or AFCI safety features?
No, the TEYL3045B provides standard thermal-magnetic protection against overloads and short circuits. It does not include built-in ground fault (GFCI) or arc fault (AFCI) safety circuitry.

Expedited Shipments
