No. The THQB32040 requires a bolted connection to the busbar and is explicitly designed for GE A-Series panelboards and AQ lighting panels. Standard PowerMark Gold residential load centers require plug-in THQL breakers.
Is there a higher interrupting rating alternative to the THQB32040?
Yes. The THHQB32040 is the direct dimensional cross-reference, but it carries a higher 22kAIC rating at 240VAC.
Will this breaker support a 480V or 277/480V system?
No. The THQB series is strictly rated for a maximum of 240VAC. Applications requiring 480V protection will need a different frame type, such as the GE TEY or TED series.
Why might this THQB breaker arrive with ABB branding instead of General Electric?
ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions and is transitioning the branding. The physical breaker, Q-Line frame, and UL listings remain completely identical regardless of which logo is stamped on the housing.
What are the tightening torque specifications for the box lugs?
Torque depends on the installed conductor size. Tighten 8 AWG wire to 40 in-lbs, 6 AWG and 4 AWG to 45 in-lbs, and 3 AWG to 50 in-lbs.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
