Product FAQs

6 answers
What does the WL suffix indicate on the THQC32035WL catalog number?

The WL suffix indicates that the breaker ships with factory-installed wire lugs on both the line and load sides. These lugs are rated to accept 8 to 3 AWG copper or aluminum conductors.

What is the difference between GE THQC, THQB, and THQL circuit breakers?

THQC breakers are feed-thru or DIN rail mounted units typically used in OEM control panels. THQB breakers are bolt-on units for commercial panelboards, and THQL breakers are plug-in units for residential load centers. They have different mounting configurations and cannot be used interchangeably.

How is the THQC32035WL mounted inside an enclosure?

This breaker features a feed-thru design that mounts onto a standard 35mm DIN rail or directly to a backplate using GE mounting hardware clips, such as the THQCFMK. It does not connect directly to a panelboard bus bar.

Can this 240V breaker be used on a 208V three-phase system?

Yes, the 240VAC maximum voltage rating allows it to be safely applied on 208Y/120V three-phase networks, provided the available fault current at the installation point does not exceed the 10kAIC rating of the breaker.

Does the THQC32035WL provide ground fault or arc fault protection?

No, this is a standard thermal-magnetic breaker that provides only long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit protection. It does not include GFCI or AFCI safety features.

Why might this breaker arrive with ABB branding instead of GE?

ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions in 2018. Depending on the specific production batch, the breaker may feature ABB branding, GE branding, or a combination of both. The physical dimensions, mounting, and UL listings remain identical.

    Recent Breaker Purchases

These breakers matched perfectly for my main AC supplies for my boat. I had the original 43-year-old Chinese (GenFu) breakers that failed and these GEs were a perfect match. My only reservation for not providing a 5-star review is breakers do not arrive in GE's original packaging which can lead to questions whether they are truly "new" breakers. Otherewise, happy I found some that replaced my originals. Thanks SB!

Everything worked out just fine. I would recommend it again.

Considering how old the panel was the breaker worked out just fine. Were you again?
